Big Sky Carvers

When father and son Eric and Marc Pierce founded Big Sky Carvers in 1980, they were pursuing a dream that embraced their passions for collecting and their fascination with all things wild.

Ornamental decoys were the company's mainstay for over a decade, but over the following years Big Sky Carvers expanded its offerings to include other lines such as the Bearfoots^TM figurines, photo frames, and kitchen accessories.

The Bearfoots^TM collection features the artwork of Montana native Jeff Flemming. While driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in Northern California, Fleming spotted a craftsman carefully using a chainsaw as a carving tool. His curiosity was piqued and his imagination started to grow. Soon, Flemming had mastered his chainsaw and other carving tools and began to carve all kinds of critters, particularly bears.
